Willem Lenaerts holds a bachelor's degree in PPLE (politics, psychology, law & economics) and a master's degree in Political Theory from the University of Amsterdam. Lenaerts works as an editor and composer for TV programmes and as a composer and sound designer in the art world. He is currently touring with the performance Unfolding an Archive by Zoë Demoustier, choreographer and dancer at Ultima Vez. For that performance, Lenaerts created a composition with sounds recorded by Daniel Demoustier during his career as a war journalist. From July 2022, Lenaerts can be seen in the NTGent performance ONE SONG - Histoire(s) du Théâtre IV, a creation by Miet Warlop.
Together with PIPPIN, Lenaerts composed the music for the youth performance Choeur Battants by Bronks (Brussels) and Théâtre Le Carrousel in Montréal (CAN). He co-created with Rint Mennes the solo performance Victory Boogie Woogie by Charles Pas, a Likeminds Amsterdam production currently on tour.
