Yvonne Peiren (Diksmuide 1953), studied Germanic languages (Dutch-English) and Philosophy at UGent. She initially worked for newspaper Vooruit as a researcher, proofreader and documentalist, after which she spent 10 years in youth theater. In the 1980s she organised, among other things, the Children's theater festivals that took place in the Minnemeers. Yvonne has been a permanent member of NTGent since 1993 - initially as a theatre teacher and later as a dramatist. She took care of the production dramaturgy for various productions including: 'The Neverending Story' (1996), 'Peter Pan, the musical' (1998), 'Hoog Tijd' (1999), 'Celibaat' (2000), 'Don Quichot' (2001), 'Saw it on television' (2003) and others. From 1995 to 2004 Yvonne took on the accompaniment and coaching of the simultaneous interpretations for the NTGent productions in the theatre. She has organised various exhibitions on the activities and the theatrical heritage of NTGent. In addition to dramaturgical research, Yvonne is responsible for NTGent's theatre heritage, archive and library.
