Het TheaterFestival and social office for artists, Amplo , support young talents in the performing arts. That's why we are looking for fresh concepts of beginning and graduated artists from various backgrounds: theatre, dance, slam, performance, writing... Everything is possible!
The best concept for a show, performance, text... wins the Roel Verniers Prize 2018.
The prize consists of:
- a coproduction prize of 6.000 euro
- the invitation to show the realization of the concept on the next edition of het
TheaterFestival 2019 in Ghent.
- business support from Amplo during a whole year.
How does it work?
You can email your plan, idea or concept in max. 1 A4 or in a video of max. 1,5 minute together with your resumé to email@example.com . Deadline: Wednesday July 25 .
The ideas are thoroughly read by a jury, which consists of among others Manuel Haezebrouck (CAMPO) and Liesje De Smet (Amplo). They nominate the top 8 concepts. On Monday August 6, they will announce the nominees.
During het TheaterFestival (August 30 until September 9 in Antwerp) the 8 nominees are able to present their concept on Tuesday September 5 at De Studio. The same evening the winner of the Roel Verniers Prize will be announced. Both presentations and award ceremony are accessible for the public. Good luck!
