The Isomo Project II

‘The Isomo Project II’ is a dance performance in which the choreographer Iris Bouche explores the relationship between language, movement, perception and transformation.
The starting point is experimentation with audio description: the production explores the description of dance, aiming to turn that description itself into an aesthetic experience so that movement also becomes accessible to blind or visually impaired people. How do you listen to movement? How can language be interpreted as a dance form?
The Isomo Project II engages with a new visual vocabulary fort he description of movement, dance and diverse bodies. With the dancers Hernán Mancebo, Saïd Gharbi and Anya Senognoeva and the musicians Kobe Proesmans and Aarich Jespers, the production focuses the senses and engages with various forms of visual and auditory perception.
