Sarah Moeremans invents and directs theatre performances in collections. After the illustrious Crashtest Ibsen collection she developed at the Noord Nederlands Toneel, she started the series What's in a Fairy Tale?! at Toneelgroep Oostpool in 2018.

Sarah studied Applied Art, Acting, Directing and Philosophy. She developed her first theatre work at several Dutch production companies, after which she created a furore in 2012 with her own company Moeremans&sons, which was again disbanded in 2017.

At the same time, she found her way to a wider audience with performances she developed for the main hall with companies such as Orkater, NNT and Tg Oostpool. Her work is characterized by a strong actor direction, a love for contemporary texts, a combination of social commitment and a sense of irony.

In 2005 she won the 'Kunst in de buurt' prize from the City of Ghent and the Ton Lutz prize. Alleen in je wereld (Alone in your world) was selected for the BNG New Theatre Award in 2010 and in 2014 she received the 'Erik Vos' award.

Last season her production Bambi played in the NTGent theatre. This season she directs her new production Rijgen for NTGent.
