Thanks for Being Here

Thanks for Being Here is an ode to the audience. Because without an audience, there is no theater. That you are reading this text now, perhaps buying a ticket (or have already bought one) and will soon be sitting in anticipation for an hour in a room full of strangers, not knowing what is to come, we find that highly hopeful. And we are going to celebrate that.
On stage: us. In the auditorium: you. We are going to look. At ourselves. But especially at each other, as a group. We switch roles. Maybe you'll see yourself. As part of the audience, or even as a character. Without you, there would be no performance. So thanks for being here.
In a play of video and perspective, in Thanks for Being Here , you'll be caught off guard again and again. But don't worry - you don't have to do anything at all. Because for more than 20 years, Ontroerend Goed has been making interactive theater for people who especially don't like interactive theater. And we'll take your expectations into account. Both before, and after. Promise.
‘AN INGENIOUS PALACE OF MIRRORS (...) THAT OUR COLLECTIVE PRESENCE IS A SOURCE OF CHANGE, THAT IS CERTAIN. A RADICAL HOPEFUL REALISATION’De Morgen (BE) **** - Evelyne Coussens
Awarded numerous prizes at festivals in Europe, Australia and North America, Ontroerend Goed's work has been performed all over the world since 2007. Remarkably, productions are also given remakes in other languages: there are versions in Russian, French, Mandarin, Cantonese and Kazakh, among others.
The history of the universe in a nutshell, spectators as voters voting out actors, a performance as a palindrome or a wandering in a labyrinth of mirrors and avatars to meet yourself: Ontroerend Goed makes unpredictability its trademark, in form and content. Intense experiences, built in the reality of theatre.
