With this new performance, theatre company BOG. frees itself from the grip of its thoughts and lets the heart speak. BOG. plays a virtuoso conflict (including emotional release).
In Emo. the language virtuosos of BOG. put feelings on the cutting table. Starting from one simple argument, they show what lies beneath the words. BOG. composes an emotional symphony of repressed feelings, rampant world views, dormant prejudices, soul-crushing subtext and the smoothest insults.
In the global West, we like to boast of our rationality. Reason has long been our pride and the figurehead of enlightenment. But precisely this rational, thinking man exhausted the earth, oppressed his fellow man and animal, and committed the most heinous acts in the name of that same reason.
Besides, as humans, we do not appear to be that rational at all nowadays. Suppressed feelings are currently causing great social waves. The agitators of our time know exactly how to manipulate people by using underlying currents of sadness, anger and fear. It is high time to clear the table, restore balance and give emotion its rightful place.
