Free aftertalk with top director and French superstar after 'Extra Life' (05/10)

| 15 September 2023
Immediately after the 'Extra Life' performance on 5 October, you can attend a free post-show discussion with renowned director Gisèle Vienne and members of the cast including renowned French actrice Adèle Haenel.

On Thursday 5 October, NTGent opens its main hall (Schouwburg) with the top international performance Extra Life. To celebrate the start of our new season, a free aftertalk (30 min.) is organised immediately after the performance with renowned director Gisèle Vienne and the cast members: Adèle Haenel, Theo Livesey and Katia Petrowick.

The post-show discussion, led by NTGent dramaturg Joline Vermeulen, takes place in the Schouwburg itself and starts shortly after the performance. No registration is needed.

Gisèle Vienne is a Franco-Austrian artist, choreographer and director. Her work traveled around Europe for the past 20 years, and was shown in Asia and the US. Vienne regularly collaborates with American author Dennis Cooper. Her photography and installations have been exhibited at venues including Centre Pompidou (Paris) and the Whitney Museum (New York).

Adèle Haenel is one of France's most celebrated actors. Haenel made her debut as a film actress when she was 12 (in 2002) and won two prestigious Césars (French film awards) since. She was the first prominent actress to speak publicly about abuse within the French film industry. Since she turned her back on that film industry, Haenel has worked regularly with Gisèle Vienne.
