'No Yogurt for the Dead' selected as one of the best performances of 2025!

NTGent ends the year with wonderful news. The art critics of leading Belgian newspaper De Standaard have voted Tiago Rodrigues & NTGent's production 'No Yogurt for the Dead' the second best production of 2025.

No Yogurt for the Dead - Histoire(s) du Théâtre VI had its world premiere at NTGent at the very beginning of this year. But the performance clearly made an impression on the culture editors of De Standaard:

"Director Tiago Rodrigues made his debut at NTGent with the poetic and moving 'No Yogurt for the Dead'. The Avignon director presents warm-blooded musical theatre full of beautiful sentences and dream sequences about how he reconnected with his father on his deathbed."

In De Standaard's list of the very best performances of this year, No Yogurt for the Dead is only surpassed by the brilliant De Sitcom by the De Hoe collective. Rodrigues' play was previously selected for Theater aan Zee and the Belgian Theatre Festival. Well-deserved recognition for the cast and crew!

Perhaps even better news: anyone who has not yet seen this gem can do so in June 2026 at the KVS in Brussels, Toneelhuis in Antwerp or le Grand Palais in Paris. Tickets & more info can be found here.
