'No Yogurt for the Dead' Nominated as One of the Best Performances of the Past Year

The expert jury of the Belgian TheaterFestival has selected the NTGent production 'No Yogurt for the Dead' as one of the very best plays of the past year.

An especially rich and warm-blooded performance. That is how the jury describes No Yogurt for the Dead. Thanks to its selection, the performance by Tiago Rodrigues & NTGent can be seen at the 2025 edition of TheaterFestival, which will take place in Ghent from 3 to 13 September.

No Yogurt for the Dead, the sixth part of the NTGent series Histoire(s) du Théâtre, is praised for its “excellent” acting performances, “impressive” set design and superbly written text “that exposes underlying feelings in magnificent lines”.

“All this makes No Yogurt for the Dead an especially rich and warm-blooded production about deeply human issues that had a lasting effect on the jury, both emotionally and rationally. Can theatre conquer death after all?”, concludes the jury report.
