(.....) Een voorstelling die schijt heeft aan zijn eigen vage titel
Is it because everyone thinks that life’s normal, that we are not allowed to ask questions? If things are so super clear, why do we feel nothing when we squeeze our arms? Go and bully your mother, if you can’t stand doubt. But don’t bother us with your certainties. We think. We doubt.
In 2014 Jetse’s directed The day the parrot had to say something for himself, about a group of introverted adolescents, insecurely sheltering behind others. His approach for (…..) is totally opposite: two teenage girls and a boy are remarkably, over the top self-confident. As a testimony of their existence – and of their ability to be incredibly cool and super funny. And ereas the titles of Jetse Batelaan usually are a mouthful, this title is completely silent: five dots between brackets. Thanks to the fierce electrical sound of the music duo Les Trucs it has never been so noisy on stage.
