WOLF WOLF is a young theatre collective from Belgium that consists of Naomi van der Horst, Imke Mol, Gilles Pollak, Mitch Van Landeghem, and Flor Van Severen. It was founded in 2019, after their first creation 'Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf?' The performance won the Mu.zee youth prize at festival Theater Aan Zee, where the festival jury also gave it an honorable mention for “so much daring and acting ability.” This was followed, with an expanded cast, by 'Voorjaarsontwaken' (Spring Awakening) in 2022, which won the Theater Prize for “most appreciated ensemble performance” from the Actors' Guild. Both performances were selected by the TheaterFestival jury as one of the most important performances of that season. In 2023, they created 'Dromers' (Dreamers), based on 'Les Enfants Terribles' by Cocteau and 'The Dreamers' by Bertolucci. For the All Greeks festival of the Belgian city theatre NTGebt in 2024, WOLF WOLF created an adaptation of Hippolytos: 'HYPO' was a contemporary, one-off retelling of a myth in a post-truth era.
'Nooit nooit', their youngest production, premiered in November 25, being WOLF WOLF's fifth play and first creation for the main stage. 'Nooit nooit', based on the contents of a theatre archive, was commissioned by NTGent for the 60tj birthday of the city theatre.
