A Season of Fiery Collectives and a Collective Fire

Dear audience, we extend a fiery welcom to the '25-'26 season.

In a world that is constantly driving us further apart, we choose togetherness. We are making space for collective makers and celebrating the new start with a collective fire. Theatre isn’t one-way traffic. We aim to be a place of connection and encounter in the city, but equally a place where it’s acceptable to disagree with each other. A crackling hearth around which stories can be shared as a way of generating glowing new forms. Because where the individual ends, something new begins: a shared desire, a different way of looking, a story that doesn’t belong to one person but to many. 

In our programme, we choose multiple voices based on the artistic practice of various collectives: WOLF WOLF, Ontroerend Goed,  Moved by the Motion. In-house theatre maker Luanda Casella embarks on a co-creation with her brother Pablo. We offer a home away from home to the young drama students at KASK and the performers with and without disabilities at Het Scheldeoffensief. More than ever, we are seeking out collaborations with our partners in the cultural world and beyond. We create productions together that make space for transformation; productions that engage with great loss or a new beginning. 

And this is a welcoming call to you as well, to start a new season, a new beginning, along with us. How about a shared ritual in which we ignite the question: what burns inside you? Where is the fire in you and what does that fire want? We are the place in the city where new communities emerge and conversations offer a lasting warmth, in an attempt to mythologise actuality and actualise mythology. And may it continue long after the lights go out.
