New Generation

22.09.26 — 19.05.27

New Generation

CAMPO and NTGent are jointly presenting a selection of the new generation of artists. CAMPO has always kept a close eye on emerging talent, and NTGent, too, regularly showcases up-and-coming artists who are ready for a wider audience. By joining forces, we are giving a much-needed boost to these artists’ visibility. In this way, names that are still unknown today are given the place they deserve on the stages of tomorrow.

How can a video game help us relate to our daily reality?

    PARTY TIME

    More info
    PARTY TIME c Illias Teirlinck

A dangerously timely and provocative performance by a new generation of theatre makers.

PARTY TIME is a biting satire that asks whether (political) power always corrupts. Can idealism survive within an economic system structurally built on self-interest? Within that power, is there also room for doubt and vulnerability?

    Rant

    More info
    RANT c Ignace Wouters

A theatrical tirade between total control and complete loss.

RANT originates from the experience of the internet as an indigestible abundance — aggressive, chaotic, and frenzied. Anna Franziska Jäger & Nathan Ooms investigate how this excess affects the human condition and what impact it has on our experience. Inspired by the "angry internet", they transform the rant into music and dance, into a raging ritual.

    CHRONIC c Louis Kerckhof

A new perspective on contemporary masculinity training and ancient knightly ideals.

In CHRONIC by Tibau Beirnaert & Laurens Aneca, a figure enters a commune inspired by Arthur’s Round Table. Jousting, sword fighting and wearing armour initially seem part of that same ritual of hardening. But what if these rituals could mean something completely different? Instead of being hardened, the initiator is dismantled and reassembled, according to laws that lie outside the ordinary world.

A physical and poetic performance about coming home to a precarious reality.

Gerben Vaillant, the discovery of last season at CAMPO, is back! This time, he joins forces with the impressive Marthe Koning. The two artists crave a sense of stability. Certainty is scarce, yet they long to understand, predict, and pin down the world. What if instability and shakiness are actually our greatest anchors? In Long Voyage Home, we enter a world that has let go of its fixed form.
